MELECHESH
„Emissaries“
(Osmose) 10/10
The fourth album of these wise metal-sorcerers is finished finally. And this
incredible insiders´ tip in Black Metal does not only pay tribute to the
band´s excellent reputation but with „Emissaries” they deliver their best
and most mature work to date. Of course the great album-predecessors have all
been milestones in this genre, but the new album is a work of genius. On its
great rhythmic foundation, the whole genre is efficiently cleaned up. By the
aid of their new killer drummer named Xul, this overwhelming album hammers everything
into the ground that comes in its way – also critics. The band´s Mesopotamian
influences on „Emissaries” are still present and they were better used than
ever. Also the musical mixture of this deep, black magicians seems more unique
than ever. Short: the potential of this dark, magic album is of vast hereafter
magnitude.
